The MW connectors are a series of center-lock coupling screw, waterproof, polarized, multi-contact, intermediate power connectors for interconnection of power and control circuits on electronic equipment. Primarily for portable and vehicle mounted communication equipment. As outlined in MIL-DTL-55181E and the corresponding sub-section sheets, the cable mount (MW10) and panel mount (MW20) connectors are designed to withstand 500 hours of salt spray, temperatures between -55º and +200ºC, and barometric pressure changes from sea level through 50,000 feet and still be functional. With three fixed contact arrangements of 4 (35amps/12AWG conductor), 9 or 18 (7.5 amp/20AWG conductor) and 5 cable diameters ranging from .292†- .593â€, these connectors serve a wide variety of harsh environment installation needs.
